First Handover at Swansea University Bay Campus

The first building on Swansea University’s new Science and Innovation Bay Campus was completed and handed over to the University during December 2014. The SMaRT Building was handed over on time and on budget and is the first in a series of handovers planned over the next nine months.
Phase 1B including the construction on the new student accommodation is also well underway and progressing well. When completed this will comprise of 545 new student bedrooms built around an internal courtyard plus a gym, sports hall, laundrette and crèche.
The new £450 million Bay Campus, located on the 65-acre former BP site, will create around 12,000 permanent jobs by 2020 and will offer a unique and unrivalled beach-front location for its students.
