Swansea University's new £450m Bay Campus officially opens

Swansea University’s new Bay Campus has officially opened it’s doors to it’s first intake of students. Phase A of the project, which is located on the 65 acre former BP Transit site in Neath Port Talbot, has completed on schedule with work continuing on Phase B of the student accommodation which will comprise of a further 545 student bedrooms, due for completion in early 2016.
The Science and Innovation campus will house almost 5,000 students and 1,000 staff from the University’s College of Engineering and School of Management.
The campus is one of few Universities in the World with it’s own beach and it is also planned to be one of the greenest with thousands of trees and shrubs having been planted creating a stunning landscape from which to enjoy the sweeping views of the bay.
